IAB: Digital ad revenue hits $9.6 billion in Q1

New York—U.S. digital advertising revenue in the first quarter of the year hit $9.6 billion, the highest amount within the first three months of any year, according to a new report from the Interactive Advertising Bureau. The “IAB Internet Advertising Revenue Report” found first-quarter advertising revenue in the U.S. was 15.6% higher than in the first quarter last year. “These record-setting Q1 numbers are consistent with the continuing shift to digital and reflect the type of growth that the Internet advertising arena has been seeing year over year,” said David Silverman, a partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers U.S., in a statement.
