New York—The Interactive Advertising Bureau has released “Guidelines for the Conduct of Ad Verification” for public comment. The guidelines provide methods and practices for ad verification to ensure consistency and accuracy in online ad campaigns. The recommended guidelines provide standards to verify online ads and address such topics as ad blocking, nested iFrames and geotargeting IP-based processes. The deadline for public comment is Dec. 2, and the guidelines are available at www.iab.net/ad_verification.
