IAB releases social advertising best practices

New York—The Interactive Advertising Bureau has released “Social Advertising Best Practices,” the next step in its effort to develop an advertising infrastructure for social media.

The document includes definitions of the key elements of social advertising; examples of best practices; and recommendations for policies on opt-in and opt-out procedures. The best practices were released at the IAB’s Social Media Marketplace this week and are available at http://www.iab.net/socialads.
