IAB releases Vast 2.0 update to video ad guidelines

New York—The Interactive Advertising Bureau released Vast 2.0, an update to its digital video ad serving template released last year.

The guidelines were released at the IAB’s annual Ad Ops Summit here and are designed to standardize the communication protocol between video players and servers. The update provides support for multipart creative executions; allows for a broader array of digital video ad products; and clarifies technical requirements to ease implementation.
