IAB taps Rothenberg as new CEO

Published on .

New York—The Interactive Advertising Bureau announced Tuesday that it has named marketing and media veteran Randall Rothenberg as president-CEO.

He succeeds Greg Stuart, who stepped down in August. Rothenberg's appointment takes effect Jan. 8.

Rothenberg has been senior director of intellectual capital at Booz Allen Hamilton and an editor at large at Advertising Age, a sibling publication of BtoB.

It is unclear whether he will continue to pen media columns for Ad Age. "I've loved my nearly decade-long association with Advertising Age, and I need to discuss the future of my relationship with its leaders," he said.

Rothenberg has also served as technology and politics editor of The New York Times Sunday Magazine and as advertising columnist of the Times.
