IBM to debut TV spots during U.S. Open

Armonk, N.Y.—IBM Corp. will debut two new TV commercials this week during the U.S. Open tennis tournament, which will be telecast on CBS Sports and ESPN2. The spots are part of IBM's “Smarter Planet” campaign and were created by Ogilvy & Mather, New York. The ads target CMOs and the broader C-suite, and are designed to promote IBM's software solutions for analytics, data management and cloud computing. The budget was not disclosed.
