IBM enhances its Smarter Commerce offerings

Armonk, N.Y.—IBM Corp. has launched new cloud and on-premise marketing solutions as part of its Smarter Commerce initiative that it says will help companies automatically convert marketing data into marketing and sales actions, and connect online, mobile and social channels to physical stores. The company's Social Media Marketing solution delivers analysis of natural-language processing of consumer sentiment in social media, allowing marketers to send tailored offers automatically in real time, according to IBM. And IBM's Commerce-as-a-Service solution connects e-commerce sites to mobile devices, social networks and other channels, to connect products offered online to in-store purchasing and delivery, among its various features, the company said.
