IBM launches marketing blitz for Internet division

Armonk, N.Y.--IBM Corp. has launched a seminar and conference marketing blitz for its Internet division. IBM will over the next several months hold seminars in 20 cities, including New York and San Francisco, that detail the company's Web banner development capabilities, said William Pence, director of development-Internet media. The seminars will target Web development pros. Representatives of IBM's Internet division will also attend a series of tech conferences throughout the U.S.
