IBM to market automated help desk

Published on .

Armonk, N.Y.--IBM Corp. is introducing the Virtual Help Desk, a real-time customer service platform aimed at large enterprise clients. The platform, which has how-to Web video and context-driven search options, will be marketed, initially, to industries like financial services and technology, where around-the-clock customer service is critical. Virtual Help Desk can handle up to 20,000 queries simultaneously. For companies with at least 40,000 users, Virtual Help Desk costs about $20 per user, according to IBM.
