Armonk, N.Y.--Pursuing a new media strategy that focuses on vertical industry segments, IBM Corp. next week will launch a multimillion-dollar ad campaign featuring ads in trade publications such as American Banker and Automotive News. IBM, which traditionally advertises in general business and IT publications, said it can be much more targeted by "dominating" vertical trade publications.
