IBM, Vignette target b-to-b

Austin--Vignette Corp. is partnering with IBM Corp. to deliver content management and e-commerce software to retail, financial and dot-com customers. Vignette is perhaps best known for its content delivery platform but has been adding e-commerce and customer relationship management capabilities. It has also launched a b-to-b strategy. Under the partnership, Vignette will deliver its V/5 e-business applications running on IBM's WebSphere application server. IBM cut a similar co-marketing deal recently with Ariba Inc.
