Icon International plans $10 million ad campaign

Stamford, Conn.--Icon International, a company that provides the industrial aftermarket with merchandising and financing options for excess inventory, is conducting an agency search for its $10 million account and plans to select a winner by January, said Barbara Cerf, chief marketing officer. The company plans to launch its first ad campaign, which will likely include print, direct marketing, online and broadcast ads, by March, Ms. Cerf said. Finalists in the search include Bozell Worldwide and Doremus Advertising, both in New York. Last week, Icon International announced that it had raised $95 million in financing from venture capital firms, including Allied Capital, Washington, D.C.
