Iconix joins APWG

Published on .

Santa Monica, Calif.—Iconix announced this week it has joined the Anti-Phishing Working Group (APWG), an industry association focused on eliminating fraud and identity theft that results from so-called phishing, pharming and e-mail spoofing. Iconix said it plans to debut its authentication solution, a customizable icon that is designed to combat e-mail fraud by placing a company’s brand identity in the e-mail "from" line, in the third quarter. The APWG boasts more than 1,500 members, including 1,000 companies globally, eight of the top 10 U.S. banks and four of the top five Internet service providers.
