Mountain View, Calif.—Iconix, an e-mail services company, announced it has introduced an icon-based, visual e-mail authentication software for clients.
Iconix eMail ID software enables users to display branding icons in their inboxes, allowing e-mail users to isolate e-mail from trustworthy sources rather than from spammers or phishers.
The move was expected. Iconix in July told BtoB it was working on the icon solution and would debut the product in the third quarter. The software can currently be used for Yahoo! Mail, and later this month for MSN Hotmail, according to the company.
