IDC names Autodesk and Avaya new-product launch best practice winners

Published on .

Framingham, Mass.—Research firm IDC has named software company Autodesk and telecom provider Avaya winners of new-product launch processes awards as part of its CMO Advisory Best Practice series.

The awards recognize companies that demonstrate the systematic application of processes that are critical for new-product launches.

Autodesk was recognized for developing processes for the simultaneous launch of between 25 and 30 new products globally.

Avaya was recognized for developing a standardized process of providing integrated themes and messaging for new-product launches.

“The new-product launch process, like many marketing processes, is often not applied with a set of institutionalized and time-tested procedures,” said Michael Gerard, director of IDC’s CMO Advisory Practice. “IDC believes that it is important for tech marketing practitioners to improve this process.”
