IDC sees $15 billion in e-market service revenues

Framingham, Mass.--Vendors serving e-marketplaces will pull in $15 billion in revenues by 2004, up from $2.5 billion last year, according to IDC Inc. The research firm said vendors will pull the bulk of those revenues not from the e-markets themselves, but from large buyers and suppliers that will need help integrating into e-marketplaces. Because of this change, e-marketplace vendors must offer consulting and implementation services alongside their software platforms, IDC said.
