Dallas—Idearc Media Corp., publisher of the Verizon Yellow Pages and Superpages.com, on Monday debuted two 30-second national cable television commercials. The company said the commercials, under the theme “Storybook,” present the Idearc Media brand by underscoring the connection between the company that was spun off from Verizon Communications and the brand equity of Verizon Yellow Pages and Superpages.com. The commercials, which are intended to appeal to both advertisers and consumers, will run for 10 weeks on such able networks asCNN, The Discovery Channel, ESPN, MSNBC and TNT. They were handled by McCann Worldgroup’s TM Advertising.
“The commercials complement the local messaging that we have been, and will continue to articulate throughout the year in various marketing initiatives,” said Mike Pawlowski, senior VP-chief marketing officer at Idearc, in a statement.
