IDG announces editorial changes

San Francisco--In a move that may signal a coming initial public offering, International Data Group's PC World announced that editorial director Phil Lemmons will assume top editorial responsibility for IDG's new online business venture, which is in development. Cathryn Baskin, PC World's longtime editor-in-chief, will take over Mr. Lemmons' position as VP-editorial director. IDG Chairman Patrick McGovern told Advertising Age earlier this year that the company was considering IPOs of its PC World Online property and three other IDG divisions.
