IDG buys Fairfax Business Media

Boston—B-to-b media giant IDG has acquired Fairfax Business Media, which publishes MIS and The C Magazine. Financial terms were not disclosed. The businesses will be integrated into IDG's U.K. publishing operations based in London. MIS, a monthly with a circulation of 23,052, provides management information for senior IT professionals. The C Magazine (circ. 13,000), which was launched in July, is a quarterly for C-suite executives that covers strategic business and management issues from their perspective. Fairfax Business employees in the U.K. will move to IDG. No job losses are expected.
