IDG debuts Linux magazine in Germany

Boston--International Data Group announced the launch of tecChannel Compact, a magazine devoted to the professional use of Linux in Germany. The debut issue is available on newsstands and online at TecChannel.de. The first issue includes articles on developments and trends in hardware and software, the Internet and operating systems, as well as technical background information and product test results compiled from the tecChannel test lab. The magazine is intended to help advertisers target technology-savvy readers, early adopters and opinion leaders. The magazine has a circulation of 25,000, and the premiere issue has a 240-page folio. Frank Klinkenberg is the editor in chief, and Stefan Scherzer is the publisher.
