IDG and eBay develop marketing program

Boston--International Data Group Corp. on Tuesday announced a marketing and cross-promotional agreement with eBay, the online auctioneer. Terms were not disclosed. Under the agreement, users of IDG.net will now be able to link directly to eBay and buy technology products plugged on IDG Web sites, such as PDAs, notebooks, monitors and scanners. Servers, switchers and routers will also be available. In turn, members of the eBay community will be able to tap into IDG's information resources. The agreement encompasses promotional banner ads, print ads and Web site sponsorships across eBay and IDG print and online properties.Jeff Julian, president and publisher of IDG.net, said in a statement: "We look forward to continuing to work with eBay on future opportunities that provide valuable content and resources to the growing audience of technology buyers we are both committed to serving."
