IDG to shutter print version of 'GamePro' magazine

Framingham, Mass.—IDG's Consumer and Small Business Media Group has announced that GamePro Media will no longer publish the quarterly GamePro magazine nor produce the U.S. version of GamePro.com as an independent website as of Dec. 5. The November issue will be the last print version of GamePro, and Web traffic will be redirected to the PCWorld GamePro channel on pcworld.com. IDG said that GamePro Media will now focus on custom publishing and solutions for game marketers. “Look for GamePro Custom Solutions to be blazing new trails in online branding for the game industry, providing gamers with deeper, richer interactions with the companies and titles they most want to know about,” said Mike Kisseberth, president-CEO of PC World Communications and Mac Publishing, in a statement.
