Imagine Media names new president

Published on .

Brisbane, Calif.--Imagine Media Inc. announced Monday that magazine veteran Jonathan Simpson-Bint, a 10-year veteran of Imagine and its London-based parent company, The Future Network plc, has been named president of Imagine's U.S. operations. The appointment comes as rumors fly over the potential sale of Imagine's U.S. franchise, Business 2.0, which rode the dot-com wave to triple-digit ad growth after it launched in 1998, but in the last several months has fallen victim to the dot-com crash. Simpson-Bint came to the U.S. in 1993 as part of the original Imagine management team and was responsible for launching several gaming magazines. This fall he'll direct the international launch of Official Xbox Magazine.
