Published on .

OpenTable.com said Wednesday that former Micros-Fidelio president and CEO Jeffrey Edwards has come aboard as CEO. The move comes as OpenTable attempts to expand its restaurant marketing Internet services beyond its 600-client customer base. Micros-Fidelio is the international arm of Micros Systems Inc., which provides computerized point-of-sale terminals to restaurants. San Francisco-based OpenTable uses the Internet to help restaurants cultivate repeat customers through e-mail and reservations. Founder and former CEO Chuck Templeton remains chairman of the board, and assumes the title of exec VP of product strategy. OpenTable has partnerships with a number of wireless information providers, as well as America Online Inc.
