IndustryBrains expands to U.K.

New York--IndustryBrains said Monday that it has expanded to the United Kingdom through agreements with VNU Net and IDG Communications.

All of IDG’s UK technology sites--including and deploying IndustryBrains' proprietary paid listings technology, which enables advertisers to purchase placements on individual sites or in contextually relevant categories using an auction bidding system. The more advertisers pay for a click, the higher their rank in the listings section.

“With IndustryBrains we have greater control over the nature of listings that appear on our sites,” said Guy Eaton, publisher of Techworld, Macworld and Digit Mag, in a statement. “Links to messages from advertisers that are extremely relevant to our visitors’ tasks and responsibilities are a benefit to our audiences.”
