Infogroup extends social strategy with Twitter

Published on .

Omaha, Neb.—Database marketing holding company Infogroup is partnering with social messaging platform Twitter to connect tweets to Infogroup's location-based service solutions.

Under the agreement, Infogroup customers can use the company's contact files to post and receive tweets driven by Twitter Places, Twitter's geolocation feature. In addition, local businesses will be able to add their Twitter handles and other social media user names to the Infogroup business database via Infogroup's ExpressUpdate technology, which allows businesses to search, edit, verify, add or enhance their business records online, the company said.

Earlier this year, Infogroup added a suite of social media products, including social media listening and monitoring, social data appends, strategic consulting and social campaign management services.
