Infogroup launches social, interactive marketing services

Omaha, Neb.—Database marketing holding company Infogroup will begin offering a suite of social and interactive marketing services that will include social media monitoring, consulting and data appends.

The initiative—to be offered through the corporate brand, rather than one of the 32 Infogroup-owned companies—will include setup services on such sites as Facebook, Flickr, Twitter and YouTube, as well as Twitter campaign management, and iPhone and widget application development.

The launch of the social marketing initiative as a corporate effort is in keeping with the organization’s intent to more closely identify products and services with the Infogroup label, rather than with its myriad constituent companies.

Earlier this month, Infogroup was acquired by private equity firm CCMP Capital Advisors for about $460 million, and will be taken private.
