Omaha, Neb.—Data company infoUSA announced that it has signed an agreement to acquire Opinion Research Corp., a market research company, in a cash transaction worth $134.3 million.
The move will enable infoUSA to provide market research services to its Donnelley Group customers, and provide ORC with access to database services for its clients. Donnelley is a database marketing services division of infoUSA.
The transaction, which is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2006, is subject to customary closing conditions and the approval of Opinion Research Corp. shareholders. Opinion Research Corp. will remain headquartered in Princeton, N.J., and it will operate independently as part of infoUSA.
