InfoUSA’s net income down, revenue up

Omaha, Neb.—InfoUSA reported second-quarter net income of $3.7 million, down 21.4% from a year earlier. The data giant’s revenue rose 6.2% to $83.8 million. Chairman-CEO Vin Gupta attributed the revenue growth primarily to acquisitions, which included Edith Roman Associates and One Source. The company implemented cost-cutting in the amount of about $1.4 million per month in the second quarter, including layoffs.
