InStranet lands Big Blue deal

Published on .

New York--InStranet said it has reached an agreement with IBM Corp. to incorporate its content warehouse technology into IBM's WebSphere Application Server. The deal means IBM customers will be able to buy an integrated version of InStranet 2000, a branded software application that creates a database of all e-business Web data. The deal is a big boost to InStranet, which has created a Java-based drag-and-drop method for content management, but has limited sales and marketing resources. For IBM, the addition of InStranet 2000 adds another arrow in the quiver of products it can provide to its enterprise customers.
