Intel kicks off fall advertising campaign

Published on .

Santa Clara, Calif.—Computer chip maker Intel Corp. announced Monday it is launching an advertising campaign this week to showcase the digital entertainment benefits of the Centrino mobile technology platform for laptops.

The global campaign, running in eight countries, consists of television, print, online, retail and outdoor advertising. It was created by McCann Worldgroup, New York.

The TV spots feature celebrities such as actors John Cleese and Lucy Liu and singer Seal sitting on consumers’ laps to demonstrate how “realistic” the computer experience is because of Intel’s technology.

The budget was not disclosed.
