Intel—Intel Corp. has selected OMD, Chicago, as its media buying agency to handle its estimated $300 million account, following a review that began in December. The other finalists in the review were Starcom, Chicago, and incumbent Universal McCann, New York.

Schering-Plough—Pharmaceutical company Schering-Plough has selected MediaVest, New York, to handle media buying and planning for several of its brands, following a review. The incumbent agency was OMD, New York. Schering-Plough’s total media budget is estimated at almost $500 million.

John Buck Co.John Buck Co., a commercial and residential real estate development company, has hired Slack Barshinger, Chicago, to provide marketing communications and public relations services. Billings were undisclosed.

SNK AmericaSNK America, which manufactures machine tool equipment, has selected Goda Advertising, Inverness, Ill., as its PR agency of record. The budget was undisclosed.
