Interactive Advertising Bureau releases digital video ad guidelines

Published on .

New York—The Interactive Advertising Bureau announced the release of its Digital Video In-Stream Ad Format Guidelines.

Created by the IAB’s Digital Video Committee, the guidelines were designed to simplify and standardize digital video ad buying across multiple sites through common ad specifications.

The guidelines focus on the most widely used in-stream ad products, including linear video ads, nonlinear video ads and companion ads.

The guidelines are available at: www.iab.net/dv_guidelines.

The IAB also announced it has launched a compliance program for Web publishers that adhere to the guidelines. Under the program, interactive publishers will display an IAB Compliance Seal on their Web sites and will in turn be listed on the IAB Web site. To date, forty-four companies are compliant with the guidelines.
