Internet advertising splurge continues

New York--Advertising research firm AdZone Interactive has issued a report showing that Internet advertising is on the upswing, reaching $1.26 billion in June. The firm, which uses spiders to look for banner, text, keyword, link, button, pop-up and interstitial advertisements on more than 1,000 sites, said that's a 54% increase from January, when $818 million in Internet advertising was racked up. The dominant buyers included RealNetworks.com, Buy.com Inc., Novell Inc. and Yahoo! Inc.
