Published on .

New York--Interpublic Group of Cos. Inc. reported a net loss of $477.5 million, or $1.29 a share, compared with a net profit of $90.8 million, or 24 cents a share, for the same period last year. Revenues for the quarter were $1.6 billion, down from $1.7 billion in the third quarter last year. The world's largest advertising group said 20% of the revenue decline was related to "business disruptions" following the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.
