Apple's iPad tablet computer has the publishing industry all atwitter (you should excuse the expression) with the possibilities of digital subscriptions. This viral video on behalf of the new Newsday app agrees. But certain benefits of ink-on-paper—lining bird cages? wrapping fish?—just can't be replicated in glass and aluminum, including this key use of rolled up newsprint.
