New York--J.P. Morgan & Co. and Bridge Information Systems, both of New York, will launch a derivatives informational portal aimed at global financial institutions and institutional investors. Derivatives are complex financial products--for example, options on futures contracts--that allow investors increased buying leverage. The portal, called Cygnifi, will go live by the end of March. Bond portals are being prepped by a growing number of big asset managers, including J.P. Morgan, but derivatives portals make up a largely untapped marketplace.
