J.P. Morgan tech banking heads bolt to Web investment bank

New York-based J.P. Morgan & Co.'s former co-chiefs of technology investment banking, John Forlines and David Weir, have left to head up the broker-dealer business of OffRoad Capital Corp., a San Francisco-based Internet investment bank. Forlines and Weir will focus on expanding OffRoad's strategic alliances with financial companies. The duo's departure is part of a growing exodus of financiers to dot-coms.
