Janus to invest $930 million in Healtheon/WebMD

Denver--Janus Capital Corp. will invest $930 million in Internet health care company Healtheon/WebMD. Healtheon/WebMd will use the money in part to bankroll its recently announced purchase of Envoy Corp., Nashville, Tenn. Healtheon/WebMD has been rapidly building its business-to-business footprint, inking marketing deals with companies including Humana, Louisville, Ky., and Medibuy.com, San Diego. Healtheon's $930 million infusion from Janus comes on the heels of a $1 billion investment from News Corp., New York, in December.
