More jobs cut at Reed TV magazines

Published on .

Los Angeles--Another round of job cuts took place this month at Broadcasting & Cable and Multichannel News, Charlie Koones, Reed Business Information exec VP of Variety and Daily Variety, who has additional responsibility for the two TV industry titles, confirmed Monday. A total of five jobs were cut at the two publications: three editorial positions and two back-office positions, Koones said. One of the staffers cut in editorial was assigned to a different job within Reed. Despite the cuts, Koones said the next announcement for Broadcasting & Cable and Multichannel News would be a positive one: the naming of a group publisher to replace Larry Oliver, who departed for VNU Business Media last month.
