John Wiley & Sons acquires three trade titles from Carpe Diem Communications

Hoboken, N.J.—B-to-b media company John Wiley & Sons said it has acquired three trade magazines from Carpe Diem Communications. The publications are: Contamination Control, Food Quality and PFQ (Pharmaceutical Formulation & Quality). In addition, Wiley has acquired the Carpe Diem name, which will now be known as Carpe Diem—a Wiley company. Rick Biros, the founder and president of Carpe Diem, has joined Wiley as publisher. —Matthew Schwartz
