New York--Jupiter Media Metrix Inc. on Friday said it has agreed to sell Jupiter Research and Events to INT Media Group Inc. for $250,000 and the assumption of certain liabilities. The deal, subject to shareholder approval, is expected to close by the end of July. Jupiter Research and Events would be the last major portion of the company to be sold off following Jupiter's failed merger with competitor Nielsen//NetRatings. In April, the company sold its AdRelevance measurement service to Nielsen//NetRatings for $8.5 million and agreed to a $15 million patent settlement from Nielsen shortly afterward. It sold its European audience measurement business to Nielsen//NetRatings in mid-May for $2 million, and earlier this month sold its North American Media Metrix unit to ComScore. "The board will meet early next week and make decisions about the next steps," a spokeswoman said.
