Chicago—Guy Kawasaki, founding partner of Garage.com and former adviser to Apple Inc., has accepted a position as adviser to Motorola Mobility, according to a post on Facebook Wednesday. “Motorola reminds me of the Apple of 1998—a pioneer in its market segment, engineering-driven and ripe for innovation,” Kawasaki wrote in the post. “My focus is on product design, user interface, marketing and social media.” In his role as adviser, Kawasaki will focus on product design, user interfaces, marketing and social media, he wrote. Motorola Mobility, which is owned by Google Inc., could not be reached for comment by deadline.
