Kellysearch.com reports triple-digit increase in site traffic

Waltham, Mass.—Reed Elsevier’s Kellysearch.com, a search engine targeted at the industrial sector, said last week that it recorded 22 million searches on its Web site in January 2005. Julie Mason, general manager of Kellysearch.com, said that figure represented a 250% increase in traffic from a year ago, when the site was launched in the U.S. Kellysearch said that a recent survey of users showed that 84% of them find the products and suppliers they need and 45% of them make purchasing inquiries.
