New Canaan, Conn.—B-to-b media veteran Tom Kemp, former chairman-CEO of Penton Media, has formed a company to acquire properties in the business media and information markets.

The company, Oakstreet Media, will target low- and middle-market b-to-b media companies that have a mix of print, online, information and event assets.

Kemp, most recently a managing director with media private equity company Veronis Suhler Stevenson, told BtoB he has narrowed a list of several investors who are interested in providing equity capital to fund transactions.
