Klout launches Brand Squads

San Francisco—Social analytics company Klout Inc., which provides a measure of user influence across social sites, has launched the prototype of a service that gives companies a central place to engage with their key brand influencers. Klout's new Brand Squads, announced on its blog, will be a location where Klout users and companies can see and track the top influencers for brands—those which top Klout scores in particular categories, rather than overall—and monitor a brand's recent announcements and news. Currently in beta, the service is being launched with an initial Brand Squad page sponsored by energy drink company Red Bull.
