Klout to measure Foursquare, YouTube influencers

San Francisco—Social analytics company Klout, which measures user influence across social sites, is now including location-based site Foursquare and video-sharing site YouTube in its influencer calculations. Klout originally measured only the influence of Twitter users. With the additions, Klout now covers five major social sites, including Facebook and LinkedIn, offering marketers an additional metric to help engage with their most influential customers and prospects. The “Klout Score” given to social users ranges from 1 to 100, measuring such variables as the reach of the user's posts, and how others react to and engage with those posts.
