Kmart taps e-business chief

Troy, Mich.--mart Corp. has named Richard W. Blunck its chief technology and e-business officer, a new position. Blunck, formerly a senior manager at Deloitte Consulting, will oversee Kmart's participation in WorldWide Retail Exchange, the e-hub it is forming with Safeway Inc., CVS Corp. and other companies. Blunck, who also worked for Ford Motor Co. as a systems analyst, will report to CIO Randy Allen.
