Knight Ridder signs up for AdExpedia's print-to-Web ad service

Chico, Calif.--Knight Ridder Digital, the Internet subsidiary of newspaper publisher Knight Ridder, said it will use AdExpedia Inc.'s print-to-Web ad service across its network of 32 local Web sites. Knight Ridder will use AdExpedia's technology to place ads from its newspapers into an online database and extend shopping inserts and special sections to its online editions. The Charlotte Observer is the first Knight Ridder newspaper to use the technology.
