New York—CBS Interactive announced Friday that it has named Jim Lanzone, CEO of Clicker Media, president of CBS Interactive. He succeeds Neil Ashe, who announced in December he planned to leave the company.

CBS Interactive also announced that it has acquired Lanzone's Clicker Media, which indexes TV shows, movies and videos on the Internet. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Lanzone was previously CEO of Ask.com. “Throughout his career, he has proven to be both a leader and an innovator, and now he'll bring both of those skills to help CBS Interactive build on its success,” Leslie Moonves, president-CEO of CBS Corp., said in a statement.
